Here are some photos of this beautiful wedding in Certaldo, the charming medieval walled town of Etruscan and Roman origins set on top of a hill in the province of Florence. The ceremony took place in the courtyard of Palazzo Pretorio that was originally the castle of the Conti Alberti. It’s one of the very few places in Italy where you can have an open-air wedding ceremony. Palazzo Pretorio is a real jewel with its facade is decorated with coats of arms in stone and glazed terracotta that commemorate the governors sent from Florence. The party was an interesting mixture of people from Bangladesh (on the groom side), Belgium (on the brides side), England and all over the world. After the ceremony we drove back to Florence for the reception that took place at the majestic Four Seasons Hotel in Florence. It’s unquestionably one of the most impressive hotels in the heart of Florence, a Renaissance Palazzo half museum, half hotel. It has also the largest private garden in Florence and a beautiful 16th-century “Conventino” where the dinner reception was held. The effect was really unique and, it provided a superb setting for photos.
